Overview
Spinness ("we", "our", "us") operates spinness.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect minimal data and do not sell it to third parties.
Data we collect
Analytics data — With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use Spinness. This includes pages viewed, time on site, device type, and approximate location (country/city level). This data is aggregated and anonymized — we see trends, not individuals.
Advertising data — With your consent, we display ads through Google AdSense and other ad networks. These networks may set cookies and collect data to show relevant ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on what they collect.
Local storage — Some tools (Wheel of Names, custom entries) save your data in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
No account data — Spinness has no user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.
Cookies
We use a cookie consent manager (Klaro) to obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
Essential cookies (required for the site to function): cookie consent preference. Non-essential cookies (require your consent): analytics, advertising.
Your rights
Under GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you have the right to access the data we hold about you, request deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Since we collect no personal identifying data beyond anonymized analytics, most requests can be fulfilled by clearing your browser's cookies and localStorage. For anything beyond that, contact us at hello@spinness.com.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics 4 default settings (26 months for user-level signals, 14 months for aggregated data). We do not store personal data on our own servers.

Frequently asked questions
Do you sell my data?
No. Spinness does not sell, license, or trade user data to third parties. Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) receive behavioral data — pages viewed, time on site — but only when you consent to analytics cookies. Our only revenue source is advertising. We do not get paid for user data.
What happens if I clear my cookies?
Your consent preferences reset, so the next visit will ask for consent again. Any custom wheels or entries you saved in localStorage stay intact — localStorage is separate from cookies and only clears if you explicitly clear site data (not just cookies). Clearing cookies has no other effect because we do not use them to track you across sessions.
What does Google AdSense see if I consent to advertising?
If you consent to advertising cookies, Google's ad servers receive your IP address, browser fingerprint, and pages visited on Spinness — the same as any Google-served ad site. Google may use this to personalize ads across its network. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com without affecting your ability to use any Spinness tool.
Does Spinness work without accepting cookies?
Yes. All tools work fully without any cookies or consent. Cookie consent only affects analytics and advertising. The actual functionality — spinning wheels, generating random results, saving wheel entries to localStorage — works regardless of your consent choice.
